It was a very frigid February morning and it was the first big snowstorm of the season. The snow was coming down hard and fastand I knew the one place I needed to be, with my horse, named Moose, at Rolling Oaks Morgans to photograph horses. Moose loves the snow and the camera, it was a perfect combination to create fine art winter horse photos! His horse friends, Grace and Allie joined in the fun, Pele the dog too! As well as a few incredible Percherons I photographed in Vermont!
There is just something about horses. Something about their mysterious souls that stirs something inside us all, we are awed by their beauty, their majestic poise, and their spectacular physical presence.. I have always loved horses. I fulfilled my little girl dream of having my own horse 3 years ago, when Moose, a 16 hand Morgan gelding came into my life. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love this horse and Rolling Oaks Morgans. I found the missing part of my soul in Moose.
“A horse is the projection of peoples’ dreams about themselves – strong, powerful, beautiful – and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.”
